Location: Chicago with travel required
Experience - Preferred / Required: 5 to 7 years
Perform research and analysis around product and service offerings,
industry and competitive dynamics, new business ventures, and
other strategic business initiatives. Synthesize complex ideas
and formulate original points of view. Manage business planning
and analysis activities. Analyze and present business performance
results.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Business Strategy:

Conduct quantitative,
strategic, and financial analyses of current and future business
initiatives

Interact with
business executives to understand problems, test hypotheses, and
provide insights

Analyze company
data and synthesize analysis into key findings and actionable
recommendations

Conduct competitive
landscape analysis and manage relationships with the Industry
/Company supply chain

Assess impact
of non-traditional competitive threats and make appropriate recommendations
Business Planning:

Collaborate with
clients finance organization/departments to create financial forecasts
including monthly, quarterly, and annual business
planning activities

Rationalize and
align the internal project delivery plan with the business plan
Business Measurement:

Create, analyze,
and present business performance metrics

Identify business
performance gaps and recommend corrective actions

Communicate business
performance to the client management in the form of periodic reports.
Qualifications:
Masters degree in Business or Finance, MBA preferred
5+ years minimum professional work experience
Prior strategy consulting / AEC (Architecture- Engineering -Construction)
Industry experience preferred
Business analytical skills and comfort in creating and analyzing
complex business cases
Broad understanding of traditional strategic analysis frameworks
and tools,
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strategic thinker; quick learner; ability to work well in a dynamic
environment and execute quickly
Appreciation for how technology can be used to impact business
results
Ability to quickly learn company business operations
Ability to navigate complex, matrix organization
