Location: Chicago with minimal travel required
Experience - Preferred / Required: 7 to 10 years
Candidate should have experience in the AEC Industry, working
knowledge of the principles and practices of Infrastructure project
design development and construction management and well versed
with the interdependencies of tasks involved in the Design Development
and Construction process. The job requires a comprehensive knowledge
of engineering construction principles and practices including
demonstrated project management skills, oral and written communication
skills, and change management skills. Ability to apply advanced
engineering planning principles and practices to a variety of
complex Infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities:
A talented and motivated individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced
environment; knows what it takes to service client needs, through
a complete lifecycle of a Capital Project. The candidate will
manage all project related operations, associated reporting and
communications with the entire supply chain including the Owner.
He/she will also be responsible for mentoring and training new
associates to manage field operations. Other responsibilities
include: ensure policies and procedures are followed; reviews,
changes and enhances established policies and procedures to improve
current systems and responsible for the overall Scope, Budget
Schedule and Quality of construction and client care. Under the
direction of the Program Manager, this candidate will oversee
the day-to-day operations and supervise on-site construction to
the completion of the project.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Construction
Management or equivalent management experience in the building
construction industry and must have advanced knowledge of Excel
and Word and experience with project management software such
as Expedition/Prolog. A complete understanding of the entire Project
life cycle is a must.
